In a statement French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said, Paris will provide housing and family benefits to Ukrainian refugees once the emergency lodging phase is over.
France will provide displaced Ukrainian refugees the right to access aid for personal housing with family supplements, as well as benefits for family maintenance.
According to the Ministry of Interior, more than 57,000 Ukrainians have entered France following the Russian invasion of Ukraine; more than 41,000 have been granted “temporary protection”.
The Interior Ministry also states, more than 11,000 Ukrainian children have so far enrolled in French schools, and that the family of refugees could place younger children in day-care centres free of charge.
