The world’s largest online retailer will make its products, including, cleaning materials, lab equipment, office supplies, power tools, available to a wide market ranging from sole traders to multinationals, including, charities universities and hospitals.
On Tuesday, Amazon.com launched its business marketplace in Britain, and will be selling products including, power tools, office supplies, cleaning materials and lab equipment.
Amazon is targeting an online sector worth at least $120.44 billion a year in Britain.
The world’s biggest online retailer first started its business market place in the U.S. in April 2015 and hit the $1 billion sales target in its first year itself. It then launched its business market place in Germany four months later. And now it is launching the same in the UK.
With this launch Amazon Business is aiming to serve enterprises ranging from sole traders to multinationals, including, charities universities and hospitals.
As per Britain’s Office for National statistics, the business-to-business online market was worth 96.5 billion pounds in 2015.
