Indonesia’s Lion Air to buy 50 Boeing 737 MAX 10 jets

At list prices the order is worth $6.24 billion, although typically airplane makers give a hefty discount to push through sales.

On Tuesday, Indonesia’s Lion Air Group disclosed it would be purchasing 50 Boeing 737 MAX 10 jets worth $6.24 billion at list prices.

Last June, Lion Air had placed a provisional order for the latest member of Boeing’s narrow-body offering.

Boeing has been listing Lion Air Group as an unidentified customer in its order book prior to Lion Air’s announcement.

As per Rusdi Kirana, co-founder of Lion Air, the Indonesian government’s infrastructure expansion, which includes airports, has helped Lion Air expand its fleet of aircrafts.
