According to a post on Tesla Inc’s website, the US electric vehicle maker has stopped taking orders for its Cybertruck pickup truck outside of North America.
Tesla is taking order for the Cybertruck only in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Tesla declined to comment on the matter.
Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has said, Tesla would start manufacturing the Cybertruck from 2023 at its plant in Austin, Texas.
“We have more orders of the first Cybertrucks than we could possibly fulfil for three years after the start of production,” said Musk at the FT Future of the Car 2022 conference.
Musk also said, Tesla could stop taking orders since demand for some of its vehicles exceeds production “to a ridiculous degree”.
