In a statement the office of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said, the President will travel to Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit on Thursday.
The development marks the culmination of a months-long effort by Ankara to mend ties with Riyadh.
Erdogan is slated to discuss Ankara’s relations with the kingdom in meetings as well as ways to increase cooperation.
Ties between the two countries were strained following the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Erdogan had raised accusation saying the orders for the killing came from the “highest levels” of the Saudi government. Since then Ankara has significantly softened its tone.
