The German subsidiary of Russian energy giant Rosneft has reported a cyber attack, said a report from die Welt citing Germany’s BSI cybersecurity watchdog.
The report states, BSI had offered support to mitigate the attack and had issued a cybersecurity warning to other companies in the energy sector.
The attack has not disrupted Rosneft’s business or the supply situation despite the company’s systems being affected, said the report.
The report citing security sources said, the hacker group “Anonymous” was suspected of being behind the cyberattack.
