On Monday , New Zealand’s government stated, it will introduce legislation to allow it slap a first-of-its-kind sanctions against Russia following its invasion of Ukraine.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said, the sanctions will give the country the ability to freeze Russian assets in New Zealand, preventing individuals and companies from moving their financial resources the country in order to escape sanctions imposed by other countries.

The new sanctions are also aimed at stopping super yachts, ships and aircraft of sanction individuals from entering New Zealand’s airspace and water.

New Zealand also released a list banning 100 individuals from traveling to the country.
