In a regulatory filing SpaceX reported that it had raised $337.4 million in equity financing.

Earlier this year in October, SpaceX, which counts Alphabet Inc and Fidelity Investments among its investors, touched $100 billion in valuation following a secondary sale of shares. In April it raised around $1.16 billion in equity financing.

SpaceX did not immediately respond to requests for more details on the latest funding round.

According to a report by Morgan Stanley, the space economy could be worth $1 trillion by 2040.

Elon Musk, SpaceX’s CEO who also heads several futuristic companies including Tesla Inc, Boring Co, and Neuralink said, SpaceX will be landing its Starship rockets on Mars before 2030.

SpaceX has already launched numerous cargo payloads and astronauts to the International Space Station for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
