Russia’s Interfax news agency has reported a blast at the Russian factory of carmaker AvtoVaz in the city of Tolyatti citing a source.
AvtoVaz was quick to downplay the incident saying it has had no impact on production.
“On Sunday there was a non-standard situation with a cylinder while welding was being carried out,” reads Interfax’s report.
“No one was injured, there was no damage.”
