At the start of a virtual meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and China’s helmsman, Xi Jinping, Biden told Jinping that as leaders both should ensure that relations between the two countries do not lead to an open conflict.

Xi said, both countries face multiple challenges and they must increase communication and cooperation.
