In a statement, an official from Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism said, Cairo has officially allowed hotels to run at full capacity while observing strict protocols against the Wuhan Coronavirus.
Egypt’s Assistant Minister Abdel Fattah al-Asi said, the decision to allow hotels to run at 100% capacity had already come into effect.
Since July, hotels in Egypt have been running at 70% of capacity because of the Coronavirus-induced COVID-19 pandemic.
Tourism in Egypt’s economy accounts for up to 15% of its national output, and is a key source of foreign currency.
