On Thursday, in a statement Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance said, it had received $80 million from audit firm Deloitte PLT, as part of a settlement deal related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

It went on to add, it is also negotiating a settlement related to 1MDB with KPMG. About $3.98 billion (16.4 billion ringgit) in seized and repatriated 1MDB funds have been returned to Malaysia to date, said the Finance Ministry.
