According to two sources familiar with the matter at hand, Charles Sussman, the managing director and joint-head of global oil trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), has left the company after having spent more than 10 years in the company.
BAML’s spokeswoman declined comment.
Sussman did not respond to requests for comments.
Incidentally, Wall Street typically sees staffing changes around this time of the year after bonuses have been handed out. Bonuses at BAML however continue to remain largely flat even though the bank’s trading desk had positive returns last year, said a source.
According to Bloomberg News, last week, Bank of America cut its headcount in its global banking and markets division. It was not immediately clear whether Sussman’s departure is related to those cuts.
