Carl Icahn sells more than 50% stake in Herbalife Nutrition Ltd for $600 million

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn has sold more than 50% of his stake in Herbalife Nutrition Ltd for $600 million; he now plans on giving up the five seats held by him through his representatives on the board.

In recent days Icahn, who held a 16% stake in Herbalife, sold around 10% back to the company said the WSJ report citing sources familiar with the matter at hand.

Following the sale, he now has around 6% stake, worth $400 million, in Herbalife Nutrition Ltd, whose products include dietary supplements.
