Trump signs executive order revoking U.S. preferential treatment of Hong Kong

Following the imposition of China’s draconian security law over Hong Kong in clear violation of the 1984 Joint Declaration between Britain and China, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order blocking the U.S. property of persons who helped undermine democratic institutions in Hong Kong; it also includes other measures.
