On Monday, Spain’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Reyes Maroto said, foreign tourists will be allowed to book vacations in the country from July following the suspension of the two-week self-quarantine period for overseas travelers by then.
Tourism dependent Spain has been one of the worst coronavirus affected nations in the world. The country is easing a strict lockdown. In order to prevent a second wave of infections, it has implemented a quarantine period for visitors.
“It is perfectly coherent to plan summer vacations to come to Spain in July,” said Reyes Maroto in an interview with local radio station Onda Cero.
