In a statement, Toyota Motor Corp disclosed, it plans on resuming output at three of its four main auto plants in China this week.
Toyota had earlier wanted to resume the production at its plants on February 3 after the Chinese Lunar New Year holidays but was forced to delay following the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Operations at Toyota’s plant in Jilin province, Changchun, and another plant in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, are scheduled to commence on Monday; another plant in the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin is schedule to commence operations on Tuesday, said Toyota.
Toyota has yet to decide when its plant in Chengdu located in Sichuan province will restart operations.
