As per a report from the South China Morning Post citing a source briefed on the matter at hand, a Chinese trade delegation is scheduled to visit Washington on January 13 for signing the U.S.-China Phase 1 trade deal.
The Chinese delegation, led by Vice Premier Liu He is scheduled to return on January 16, said SCMP in its report.
Originally, the delegation had planned to come earlier in January, but altered its plans following a tweet by U.S. President Donald Trump that he wants to sign the Phase 1 trade deal on January 15.
The visit of the Chinese delegation led by Liu is yet to be officially confirmed by both Washington and Beijing.
