SAS pilots go on strike following breakdown in talks

More than 70k passengers have been affected due to cancelled or delayed flights across Europe as 1,400 pilots have gone on strike over over a wage row as well as the predictability of their shift patterns.

On Friday, as per a mediator in the negotiations between SAS and its pilots in Denmark, talks between the two have broken triggering a strike which is likely to significantly impact thousands of passengers.

SAS pilots in Sweden and in Norway had announced they would also go on strike if talks were to break down.
