Goldman Sachs is yet to disclose who will be replacing Ken Hitchner as the chairman and chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs Group Inc for the Asia-Pacific region excluding Japan.
A Bloomberg report citing sources familiar with the knowledge at hand has reported, Ken Hitchner, Goldman Sachs Group Inc’s Chairman and Chief Executive for the Asia-Pacific region excluding Japan, will be retiring from the company.
Hitchner will retire in mid-2019 from his Hong Kong-based role.
Goldman Sachs did not immediately respond to request for comment.
Hitchner, a former pilot in the U.S. Navy, was appointed as Goldman Sachs’ president for Asia Pacific excluding Japan, in 2013.
In 2017, he was named the region’s chairman and chief executive officer.
