Lockheed Martin Corp has been awarded a U.S. defense contract for upgrading 84 F-16 fighter aircraft to the V-configuration.

In a statement to the press, the Pentagon said, Lockheed Martin Corp has been awarded a $997 million U.S. defense contract for upgrading 84 F-16 fighter aircraft to the V-configuration.
