China to adopt strong measures against any new U.S. tariffs

Despite U.S. trade measures the Chinese economy has albeit slowed down a little but has maintained its growth momentum.

With U.S. President Donald Trump threatening to impose 25% tariffs on U.S. imports from China worth $200 billion, on Thursday, China’s Ministry of Commerce stated, if the United States goes ahead and implements its new tariff measures it will be forced to retaliate.

At a press conference, Gao Feng, the spokesman of China’s Commerce Ministry stated, Beijing will closely monitor the impact of any fresh tariffs implemented by the U.S. and will adopt strong measures to offset negative effects.
