No direct fallout from renewed Iran sanctions: Nestle

Despite protests from U.S. allies, Washington has reclamped sanctions on Iran.

On Tuesday, with the US sanctions being snapped back in place on Iran, Nestle, the world’s biggest food company, stated it does not see a direct fallout as a result of renewed U.S. sanctions.

“We continue to closely follow political developments regarding sanctions against Iran. There are no direct implications for our business at this stage,” said Nestle.

Incidentally, Nestle Iran is headquartered in Tehran and operates two factories in the country. One factory is located in Qazvin, which produces infant cereals and infant formula while the second produces bottled water in Polour.

With an employee strength of 818, Nestle Iran imports a limited range of Nestle products.

“By providing basic food products to Iranian consumers, we will continue to fulfill the needs of the population,” said Nestle.
