A formal announcement is likely to be made as soon as today, if not later this week.

As per a report from the New York Times, Goldman Sachs Group Inc is likely to name David Solomon as its next chief CEO.

According to the New York Times report, which cited sources familiar with the matter at hand, the announcement, which will formally establish Solomon, currently Goldman Sach’s President as the successor to Lloyd Blankfein, could come as soon as sometime today.

Goldman Sachs was not immediately available to comment outside regular business hours.
