The U.S. companies that are affected by this significant hike in tariffs include Draka Communications Americas Inc, Corning Inc, OFS Fitel, among others.
On Tuesday, China’s ministry of commerce disclosed it had applied “anti-dumping tariff rates” for a select segment of optical fiber products that originate from the United States.
The hike in tariffs on these select optical fiber products will be effective from Wednesday, July 11.
China’s new rates for dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber imported from the U.S. ranges between 33.3% to 78.2%.
In 2011, their import tariffs were in the range of 4.7% to 18.6%.
The U.S. companies that are likely to be impacted by these hike in tariffs include Draka Communications Americas Inc, Corning Inc, OFS Fitel, among others, said China’s ministry of commerce on its website.
