Airbus conducts a high level management shakeup at the top

With the company’s A380 jet facing strong headwinds on takeoff, a shake up at the top management is on expected lines.

On Friday, Airbus, Europe biggest planemaker has confirmed of a top management shake-up in the firm.

As part of this plan, Fabrice Bregier, Airbus’ chief operating officer will step down in February 2018 while Tom Enders, its CEO, will not seek a new mandate when his term expires in 2019, said Airbus.

Guillaume Faury, who currently heads Airbus Helicopters, will succeed Bregier as president of the company’s main commercial aircraft division, said Airbus in a statement.
