Britain and EU negotiators agree to a deal on all Irish issues

This remarkable development, is likely to be read as a sign of progress in the ongoing Brexit negotiations, said to be the toughest and the most complicated the world has ever seen since WW2.

In a development that underscores a major progress on the part of the United Kingdom, two Irish government sources have disclosed that negotiators for Britain and the EU have reached an agreement on a deal for all Irish issues, including the all important matter of avoiding a hard border between Northern Ireland and Ireland.

“Agreement has been reached on an overall deal for the Irish issues,” said a sources.

He went on to add, “The key phrase is a clear commitment to maintaining regulatory alignment in relation to the rules of the customs union and internal market which are required to support the Good Friday Agreement, the all-island economy and the border.”
