Appeal process for Uber could take years: London Mayor Sadiq Khan

Uber can continue to operate in London until this due process of law is expired.

On Thursday, London Mayor Sadiq Khan stated Uber’s appeal against London’s transport regulator ban could go on for years.

In September, Transport for London stripped Uber of its license to operate in the city by deeming it unfit to run a taxi service; the regulator has also refused to renew its liencese.

Uber has gone on appeal against this decision.

“My understanding is that it could go on for a number of years,” said Khan at a monthly question session when asked how long the appeals process could take.
