A document which details Britain’s future commitments, including security, with EU has been released by the British government.
In a development of far reaching consequences, Britain has stated it was unconditionally committed to the security situation in Europe.
These disclosures were made by Britain in a document in which it spelt out the details of the future relationship it aims at having with the European Union following Brexit.
The document details a number of areas where Britain wants to maintain or even deepen cooperations, including on matters of security, between itself and the rest of the Europe.
Once Brexit negotiations move on to future ties with the bloc, the British government could continue to offer “classified information exchange to support external action” with the bloc .
“The UK is unconditionally committed to maintaining European security,” states the document.
“In tackling the diverse, changing threats we all face today, it is in the interests of both the EU and UK that we ensure cooperation on European security.”
