Britain to hand over Brexit letter today to EU’s council President Donald Tusk

Britain is set to trigger Brexit proceedings later today.

Britain has formally begun the process of negotiating Britain’s exit from the European Union with British Prime Minister Theresa May handing over a signed letter to European Council President Donald Tusk notifying it of Britain’s intention to leave the bloc.

The letter will be hand delivered to Tusk in Brussels sometime today by Tim Barrow, Britain’s permanent representative to the EU.

May will also notify the British parliament about the contents of the letter today.
