SAP’s former CEO to be Siemen’s next chairman

By 2018 Jim Hagemann Snabe is likely to reduce his supervisory board positions and be Siemens chairman.

Germany’s top engineering group, Siemens has proposed that Jim Hagemann Snabe, the former Co-CEO of SAP be its next chairman, ahead of its annual general meeting on Wednesday.

Snabe, 51, has been a member of Siemens supervisory board since 2013. He is likely to take over from Gerhard Cromme after next year’s AGM.

He is also a director at Allianz, SAP, Moeller-Maersk, a shipping group, and at Bang & Olufsen, an audio equipment manufacturer.

Siemens has disclosed that by 2018, Snabe intends to trim the number of his supervisory board positions.
