India’s Q4 GDP Growth Of 8% Or Higher Is Expected – Finance Minister Sitharaman

According to Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister of India, the Indian economy is anticipated to grow at the similar rate in 2023–2024, highlighting the benefits of better macroeconomic stability and inflation control.

In the quarter ending March 31, India’s GDP is expected to increase by 8% or more, according to a statement made on Saturday by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

According to Nirmala Sitharaman, the economy is anticipated to grow at the similar rate in 2023–2024, highlighting the benefits of better macroeconomic stability and inflation control.

“Hopefully the fourth quarter … will also have (growth) of 8% or above 8% resulting in 2023/24 having an average growth in GDP of 8% or over 8%,” Nirmala Sitharaman said during an event in the financial hub of Mumbai.

On May 31, India’s GDP figures for the January–March quarter are scheduled to be disclosed.

The third-largest economy in Asia expanded 8.4% year over year during the October–December quarter, surpassing the 7.6% growth noted for the prior quarter.

According to the most recent government predictions, India’s economy is expected to increase by 7.6% during the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31.
