Protesting Canadian truckers increase cost for Canada to change its COVID-19 mandate

In a statement Toyota Motor Corp said, production at its auto plants in Ontario has come to a grinding halt following truckers protesting Canada’s COVID-19 mandates which has caused a shortage of parts.

“Due to a number of supply chain, severe weather and COVID related challenges, Toyota continues to face shortages affecting production at our North American plants, including Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada,” said Toyota.

Toyota builds the RAV4 model and its hybrid version as well as the Lexus RX 350 and the RX 450h at its plants in Ontario.
