According to a source familiar with the matter at hand, the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will conduct an antitrust review of Microsoft Corp’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard Inc.

The FTC will scrutinize the deal to see whether it will harm competition.

Neither the FTC, Microsoft, or Activision immediately responded to requests for comments.
