US officials to host meeting at White House on global chip shortage, COVD-19’s impact on chip supply chains

In a statement the US Commerce Department said, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and White House economic adviser Brian Deese are scheduled to host a semiconductor supply chain meeting at the White House on September 23.

Officials in the meeting would discuss the ongoing global chip shortage as well as the impact VOCID-19’s Delta variant has had on the global semiconductor supply chains.

Invitees will include industry groups, producers, and consumers.
