According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Tesla Inc has informed its workers at its Nevada battery factory that they will be required to wear a mask when working indoors regardless of their vaccination status.

Previously, Tesla had told workers at the Reno, Nevada facility that they required wearing a mask only if they were not vaccinated.

Tesla is the latest company to mandate masks following an increase in the spread of the Delta variant which forced the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to reverse its recommendations.

Earlier the CDC had mandated that fully vaccinated individuals need not wear a mask when indoors. Tesla did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
