German export expectations rises to highest since Jan 2011 based on pick-up in economic growth in US, Asia

According to the results of a survey that was released on Monday, German exporters are increasingly optimistic about a pick-up in exports based on growing stability of the U.S. economy as well as those in Asia.

A survey conducted by the Ifo economic institute showed that German expectations rose to 24.9 points in March, the highest value since January 2011, from 11.9 points in February.

The optimism is across all sectors, noted the Munich-based institute.
