U.S.-Taiwan relation elevated to global partnership

On Monday, in a development of significant geostrategic importance, Taiwanese Foreign Minister Joseph Wu stated, U.S.-Taiwan relations have been elevated to a global partnership while describing the U.S. lifting of restrictions on interactions between officials from both sides as a “big thing”.

Wu made the comment while speaking to reporters.

He went on to add, Kelly Craft, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations is slated to meet President Tsai Ing-wen later this week on Thursday during a visit to Taipei; the two are likely to discuss ways to promote Taiwan’s international participation.
