In a significant development, top officials from the European Union as well as the head of NATO invited U.S. President-elect Joe Biden to rebuild transatlantic ties. Washington is set to meet its European allies in 2021.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and European Council President Charles Michel, congratulated Biden through phone calls, on his election win and invited him to visit Brussels, NATO’s headquarters, in coming months.
