In a statement, the U.S. Department of Commerce stated, it will commence investigation into the import of  aluminum foil from countries incluing Armenia, Oman, Brazil, Turkey and Russia, for potential dumping or unfair subsidies.

It went on to add, the department will take up the probe following a petition from an industry trade group as well as three of its member companies.
