Japan to lift travel ban to 12 countries from November 2020

On Thursday, in a report, Japanese newspaper Yomiuri stated, from November 2020, Japan plans on removing the ban on overseas travel 12 countries including China, from where the coronavirus emerged.

The 11 other countries and regions include Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, South Korea, and Vietnam.

Currently Japan has banned travel to 159 countries and regions.

The Japanese government is likely to recommend that travelers should refrain from making unnecessary and non-urgent trips to those 12 countries, said the report.
