Toyota extends factory shutdown in Europe till April 20

On Monday, Toyota Motor Corp said, it will be extending a suspension of production at its factories in Europe with the exception of Russia until further notice.

A restart of operations could potentially start after April 20.

Following the Wuhan coronavirus becoming pandemic, Toyota had suspended production from mid-March in France, Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Turkey.

Its Russian factory will be closed from March 30 to April 3, said Toyota Motor Corp.

The carmaker has halted production in all of its North American factories.
