Testla Inc is looking for a new U.S. location to build its Cybertruck Gigafactory.
In a tweet, Tesla’s Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk said, he was looking for locations in the central United States to build the company’s new Gigafactory for its electric pickup truck.
“Scouting locations for Cybertruck Gigafactory. (It) Will be central USA,” tweeted Musk.
Tesla’s cybertruck, is a futuristic pickup truck which is scheduled to go into production in late 2021 with a starting selling price of just under $40,000.
Musk also tweeted, “Model Y production for east coast too.”
Earlier this year, in late January, Tesla had said, it had started production of the Model Y at its Fremont, California, factory with first deliveries scheduled for the end of March.
Tesla did not immediately respond to requests for comments after regular business hours.
In January, Musk had also said, Tesla needs to boost its battery production capacity for high-capacity models such as its Cybertruck.
Last month, he took to twitter to ask users if the electric carmaker should build a new gigafactory in Texas.
