On Monday, Warren Buffett-backed BYD Co Ltd stated, it has appointed former General Motors China President, Kevin Wale, as a senior adviser to its chairman.

In a statement China’s BYD stated, Wale will provide consulting services to BYD’s automotive business, including areas such as brand building and marketing.

Wale retired as GM’s China president in 2012.
