Barbara Levi is currently the Group Legal Head, M&A and Strategic Transactions for Novartis. She will be joining Rio Tinto on January 1, 2020 and will be replacing Philip Richards who will be retiring from Rio Tinto on December 31, 2019.

On Monday, Rio Tinto has named Barbara Levi as its new general counsel and group executive.

Levi will be replacing Philip Richards.

Levi is currently the group legal head, M&A and strategic transactions at Novartis.

She will be joining the miner on January 1, 2020.
