Thyssenkrupp did not disclose the value of the deal.

On Friday, German industrial conglomerate Thyssenkrupp stated, it has been selected by Brazil’s navy along with domestic aircraft maker Embraer to build four corvettes.

“We are very honored by the Brazilian Navy to entrust us with the mission to build the Tamandaré Corvettes Class,” said Rolf Wirtz, Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems’ Chief Executive in a statement.

Thyssenkrupp did not disclose the value of the contract.
