Tories to back May’s Brexit deal if timetable for departure is tabled: The Times

The Tories are pushing for a Canada-style agreement.

As per a report from The Times, Brexiteers “will back British Prime Minister May’s deal if she says when she’s quitting”.

The Times report states the Tories are likely to soften their opposition to May’s Brexit deal if she sets out a timetable for Britain’s departure.

If May were to promise to put in place a timetable after Brexit day on March 29 it would help to pacify Tories, including its senior lawmakers who want Britain to push for a Canada-style agreement.
