The completion of negotiations for Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) is set to be announced this Friday following a visit by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison to the Indonesia.
As per an official from Indonesia’s foreign ministry, President Joko Widodo along with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison aim to announce the completion of an economic partnership pact between the two countries this Friday.
Ahead of Morrison’s visit to the country, Edi Yusuf, Director for East Asia and Pacific, stated negotiations were still ongoing on the Indonesia Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
He went on to add, the deal is likely to be signed later this year and will include the opening-up of investment in “Indonesia’s university sector” by Australia.
