Saudi Arabia remains committed to Aramco’s IPO: Saudi Press Agency

Saudi Arabia has denied previous media reports that it has called off Aramco’s IPO. A careful reading of the statement by the Saudi Press Agency suggests that Aramco’s IPO may have been postponed and not entirely canceled.

Saudi Arabia’s energy minister Khalid al-Falih has denied as untrue a media report which had that stated that Aramco’s initial public offering (IPO) will be called off.

“The government remains committed to the initial public offering of Saudi Aramco, in accordance with the appropriate circumstances and appropriate time chosen by the Government,” said Khalid al-Falih said in a statement released on Saudi Press Agency.

On Wednesday, Reuters had reported citing four senior industry sources that Saudi Arabia has called off the domestic and international stock listing of Aramco.
