Beijing appoints Zhu Hexin as the vice governor of the PBOC

The appointment comes at a time when the Chinese economy is cooling with record low retail sales, and is showing signs of stress from U.S. sanctions.

On Tuesday, in a strategic move China has appointed Zhu Hexin as the vice governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC).

Zhu, has previously worked for the Bank of China, and for Bank of Communications was also the vice governor of the Sichuan province.
